04 — LIGHTROOM
Plug-ins
Two plug-ins for Lightroom Classic on macOS. Everything runs on your Mac — no account, no upload, no API key. Free and open source.
iCloud Photos
A Publish Service that sends photos into albums in Photos, and from there into iCloud.
- Each published collection maps to an album; republishing updates it in place.
- Exports JPEG, JPEG XL or AVIF, with the usual export controls.
- Flags and star ratings carry over as favorites in Photos.
- Publishes in batches of 32; one bad file doesn't stop the run.
FIRST RUN
Add the service under Publish Services, then click Request Photos Access in Publishing Manager.
Vision Keywords
Keywords photos with Apple's on-device Vision classifier — the one behind search in Photos.
- Reads Lightroom's embedded previews, so nothing needs exporting first. RAW included.
- A few hundred photos a minute across roughly 1,300 labels.
- Nests everything under an AI keyword that's excluded from export.
- Tune confidence, cap keywords per photo, deny labels. One menu item undoes it all.
FIRST RUN
Select photos in Library, then Plug-in Extras → Classify Photos with AI Keywords.
INSTALLING
01 Unzip the download.
02 In Lightroom Classic: File → Plug-in Manager → Add, then select the .lrplugin folder.
The helpers are signed with a Developer ID certificate and notarized by Apple, with the ticket stapled to the bundle — no terminal step, no Gatekeeper warning, and it works the first time even if you are offline.
